Marion County has more talent than Sequatchie County, but Sequatchie has more better linemen. We will see which one prevails. Hang in there big guy. You can throw that stuff away soon enough.

Not saying your wrong but I believe MC has 2 or 3 lineman that would start on any team in the county... Last year besides volleyball for 4 years lol

Not that I disagree but what have you seen of MC's offense to say it's not clicking? And trust me these boys are ready to play ball or I know of a handful that are for sure!!!

I understand I’m going against my own belief by saying they looked a little ruff in the jamboree. I also say I don’t put much stock in scrimmages or jamborees. I honestly can’t say I’ve seen them since the jamboree. It was just my opinion and we know what that’s worth!

It’s just hard for a team to adjust to a new offense right off the bat. Hey, like I said I’ve been wrong before and I’m sure it won’t be the last time. I’m sure those boys are ready to play ball and I wish them luck all year except for one game. Everyone knows who I am and that my nephew played at MC. I have no disrespect for MC or anyone from there. You’ll notice I may be a minority when I refer to them as MC instead of Jasper.

SC didn’t impress me much either last Friday night. If MC defense can stop that FB all night I say MC has a good chance of winning. Hopefully I’m wrong about the new offense clicking and they get a win.

A lot of good points made and I feel the same as you on most all of them... Most know who I am as well and my nephew plays for MC now for one last year!!! As bad as I hate to I guess I'll have to wear a little purple this year!!! Lol

Grey and black brother...those are the MC shirts I wore. Except one year I helped coach little league football in Jasper and the head coach ordered us purple coaching shirts! I wore orange underneath it...lol

I wore my PawPaw Bakers old MC hat with the old MC logo on it to the state games his freshman and sophomore years guess I'll wear it all year for him this year! My PawPaw would get a kick out of it if he was still here to see me wear it.

PirateMike, I think Jasper's qb will make enough plays with his arms and his feet to be the difference in this game.  He really looks comfortable in the pocket and if Sequatchie gets a rush on him i believe he can get to the sticks enough to keep them moving.  I think Nelson & Hicks will cancel each other out so Nunez could be the other player that tips the balance in this one.

Hopefully the best athlete and fastest kid on the team will get some touches as well.  He wears a familiar number 8.

I think he will be one day, but right now I don’t think he’s your best. That’s from what I saw during the jamboree. You have some talented upperclassmen that will help you get the job done while you bring this young one along. Sampson and Nelson need to carry the load for this 2018 team. Good little athlete though for sure.

He looked really good in the jamboree!!

Alot of people would look good against Lookout Valley.  I'm sure this young man is a great athlete but I don't see him being better than Nelson or he would be starting. Let's see him do what he did in jamboree against Seq, this week and against SP in a couple more weeks  and vs Tyner and then Rhea County and then if he stand's up and show's out against those team's, well I will give this young man all the praise. Kid does have a bright future though, but not right now.

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
