Thought the game was pretty ugly all around. Key mistakes made by both teams. I think the key to Farragut's win was the pressure they put on OR QB in the second half. The kid is very elusive, but it broke down their offense and made it look like a backyard offense. I was surprised OR didn't look to put more pressure on the edge with their speed advantage. I thought the OR LB #44 I think got away with a lot of extra business after the play was over. That might hurt OR when they play on the road away from the Anderson Co officials. I was also surprised at the crowd. I can remember when Blankenship would have fans covering the slopes on both sides of the home stands. Anyway, always great to beat the Cats, especially at Blankenship. These new Admirals didn't have to live through the miserable 80's and 90's in this rivalry.

You need to get to the doctor FAST because whatever FHS_Admiral has is obviously contagious!

Yep. Our line is very young. They have a lot of room to grow, literally. A lot of inexperience up there, and I figure Farragut's kids were mostly JR's and Sr's on the defensive line. Right now, they are just stronger than our kids who are mostly Sophomores on that OL. But, in the long run they are gonna be really good as they get more reps and get stronger in the offseason.

Your OL is young and smallish, but they were still pretty decent.  They will get bigger and stronger for sure and will be a handful for the ADs in the future. Overall, you guys have a really good team with a lot of great athletes!  I look for y'all to go far in the 5A playoffs.  Good luck the rest of the year.

Thanks, Ads. Yeah, they are pretty small, but we have a few decent sized boys up there. One (the LT who is big) didn't play last night, which hurt us because the guy in his place had to go both ways. Yeah, I think we will be a lot better come playoff time, especially in the trenches. Also, once we get #7 back who is one of our better players, that'll help a lot on D.

Best of luck to the Admirals as well. I would like to see the game between y'all and Bearden. That should be a dandy, and most always is. They look to be pretty dang good this year!

I disagree completely.  Yes, OR made some mistakes that cost them points however so did Farragut.  Farragut turned the ball over deep in their on territory, plus OR got a gift TD on the 100 yd. tipped pass pick six return.  That lucky interception alone was a 14 point swing in OR's favor.  The bottom line is, Farragut won the game and was the better team period!   Just like we are also the better program these days.   Good game mildkitty fans!  We'll see 'ya next year at the shipyard!!!

Now you know why I hate FHS with a deep held passion. RWR!

STARPOWER is merely telling the truth, and just like the famous quote says:  "You can't handle the truth" !!!

Oh I can handle the truth for sure. The truth is that Farragut won 20-14 and as Gaddis said, we left 24 points on the field. That’s the truth but with the actual points that were scored, we lost. I congratulated Farragut twice in my post and rather than being classy, you chose to be obnoxious. That’s the truth and since Farragut won, I guess you earned the right to be a jerk...and you succeeded. Good luck the rest of the year...you have a very good team.

Well, that could possibly be the case.  I'm not sure.  I took it the other way because most people on this thread are OR fans.

You have made a big Coach T  Mistake F Admiral. Never assume or use most people when responding about responders to a particular thread. All knowledgeable Coach T posters know that not everyone posting is a fan or supporter of the teams the thread is about. Back to Coach T posting school for you.

No the truth is that although OR did drop a couple 2 or 3 balls that could have been scores, Farragut also gave OR 2 scores, one on a short field after a turnover and one on a tipped ball pick six.  That pick six alone was a 14 pt. swing.  So Farragut left points on the field too while giving OR some. Take away the mistakes of both teams, and Farragut still wins.  The bottom line is that Farragut is just a slightly better team and program right now than OR.  That's the truth!

By the way, I complemented OR and wished them well in my first post game post, and in some other posts too.  I only defended Farragut on here when OR fans made excuses about lost points and did not give Farragut their due credit for outplaying OR, which they most certainly did. Then when people responded in a chippy insulting manner to me, I responded in kind.  As for the jerk comment,  you have me confused with yourself and a few other OR fans on here.
