SCIENCE HILL VS BEARDEN

Big time Region matchup this Friday in Knoxville. The Hilltoppers are 1-3 but those losses were either very close or at the hands of one of the best teams in the state. The Bulldogs are playing a tough brand of ball, outscoring opponents 99-27 thus far if the Coacht schedule scores are correct. I am not as familiar with the Hilltoppers, but do know that they have always had a great rushing attack. Is that true again this year?

Other than the Greeneville debacle, the Toppers (1-3) are 7 points away from being 3-1.      SH has a lot of speed in the backfield and a couple of very shifty runners.    Their defense is a little soft though.    Based on records you would have to go with Bearden in this one, but never count SH out.

Matches is back with a prediction. Looking at the box scores and how Bearden is getting better week to week I like the dogs in this one. They do fairly well stopping the run and the Bulldog offense is finally firing on all cylinders. Bearden wins this one. I'll hang up and listen.

I'm going to go with SH on this one...BHS is on a high after beating South Doyle down pretty good last week and are primed for a let-down game, imo.

Back on track this week for the Hill in a tight game. The players are focused and ready for a 6 game win streak and conf championship.

If Science Hill loses this game they will be 1-4.    Not sure the Toppers have ever started that poorly.  Will there be rumblings amongst the SH faithful, or does nobody really care about SH football anymore?

While I agree that SH will be a better quality opponent than BHS has faced thus far, I would argue that both Cleveland and SD had pretty physical defenses.

Very Serious!! 1 week at a time. Many challenges along the way but very possible.

We absolutely care and no rumblings here. Could easily be 3-1 going into this week. I would rather loose early than end like we did last year loosing late.

Interesting matchup here... offensive minded SH running into a brutal defensive minded BHS.  I think the dogs prevail in a close one.
