Correct me if I’m wrong but is this the group that plays the game over the TV

No that is the MyTV30 guys. This is a game that is voted on by the fans, where the winning coach of the game is rewarded with a $1,000 check for his football program, thanks to the Titans grant fund.

The MyTV30 Game of the Week Schedule is done before the season even starts. Most of the time the game involves bigger schools, although TC and Friendship did make an appearance a few years ago when the game was played on Thursday Night.

I remember in the day when we use to play Trousdale and there was such excitement in the air. I can honestly say as well as all the Trousdale folks that we always had a good, hard fought, clean game and when the game was over both team's showed such respect for the other team and coaching staff.  I hope the Whitwell people take this excitement in when you play them. A beautiful place to play high school football for sure.

My memories of Whitwell are from Fall camp in Sparta TN. I hated that day just because it was so long and usually very hot.

But i have to agree even though it is home to me, The Creekbank is a beautiful place. I've been on many fields over the years all across this state (on a break for the time being due to kids but i am one of those people that fans love to hate) and as far as Natural turf goes, the Creekbank is leaps and bounds ahead of every field I've ever stepped on. The only thing i would change about the place is to move the sideline fences back about 3 foot so that the sideline mats they put down would not be right on the sideline.

You guys from Whitwell are going to be able to experience an awesome atmosphere. Alot of people have really started to get behind the team. (Several fell off the bus after we lost a coach to Oakland - Different Story for another time if you don't know) People in Hartsville are chatting it up. Looking forward to the experience on Friday Night! Nothing like Yellow Jacket Football on the Creekbank!

Also it was the coldest game that I have ever been to in 2008, maybe, I'm getting old, but when our Pirates played yall in the playoff's I think it was 12 degrees that night plus the wind off that creekbank made it alot colder. It was about somewhere past Lebanon before any of us could feel our extremities after that game, plus we lost so that made it worse!!!

Went into the bank this morning in Hartsville and all them people could talk about was this game which I can understand in Hartsville. BUT went to an ag store in Lebanon to get some feed and there were about 5 guys standing in front of me and they aren’t even from Hartsville and all they were talking about was the game Friday night at the creek bank. I look for an electric crowd Friday night! Brings back some great memories. People are really starting to get behind these jackets! Feels like the old days!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
