Whitwell Tigers @ TC Jackets

It will be a good one. I’m biased so I’m not gonna make a prediction but I will say this, this TC team has gotten better since that Watertown game. But I have not seen a single play of Whitwell so I have no idea but looking at scores on them. Looks about like last year scores before they played TC.

Anyone predicting a double digit victory by either team is absurd to me but i do feel that Whitwell folks think they will see the same TC team they did last year and that can't be farther from the truth. There are at least 3 impact type players that will suit up tomorrow night in the Purple and Gold that did not last year. One was hurt early in the season and the other 2 moved in after the season last year. On top of that, many of the starters return and are bigger, faster, smarter, and stronger. I know that this same statement can be made for the Tigers as well. All this to say, It should be a heck of a game and I believe if 1 team runs away with it, it will be because of multiple injuries and terrible mistakes.

Should be a great game, I believe we can stop the run but Whitwell can throw it around pretty good so it is a tough matchup for the jackets although Keyvont should help in the secondary. Whitwell has seemed to have some trouble stopping the trap play IMO and as most of us saw vs Friendship the jackets can run the trap with the best of them lol. After watching the film from last year, Whitwell should know it's not the same TC team. Last year it was literally Keyvont student body left, Keyvont student body right. I'm excited to see our defense vs their offense though. I believe we score 21+ but not sure if 21 will be enough. Going to be hard to hold my excitement in during pregame show lol. I’ve seen Whitwell and Meigs play, and in my opinion Meigs would beat Whitwell by 3 scores, so I wouldn’t give TC the gold ball.

Lots of season left before any talk of gold ball for anyone. You never know what can Happen week to week. This game does nothing either way concerning gold balls. Its just a great non region matchup. Last year meigs qb gets hurt and they lose to rockwood. You never know what can happen in playoffs. Nobody saw Tyner making it from east last year. But someone forgot to tell them that.

Apparently some people took me seriously, but for the record, I was just joking about giving TC the gold ball Friday night if we beat Whitwell by 29 points. I am aware of Meigs County and Tyner and the challenge they would be if TC wins enough games to play them.

TC beats Whitwell by 3 scores. DC being dismissed is going to hurt them more than people think. He was actually pretty stinking good.
