GeneralForrest
One kid gets mad cause coach makes him bear crawl for dumb penalty and quits walks off the Feild during the first half . This is absolutely true, and I had initially included it in my recap on the Forrest - Community thread, then scrubbed it. But since you mentioned it, I will include what I wrote. It was sickening. A Forrest kid had an altercation with the coaches, and left the game, and seemingly, the team for good. Very unfortunate and ugly situation that had everyone talking. Emblematic of the in-fighting and lack of team cohesion that has defined this entire year for Forrest. It's easy to point fingers but I will say that this kid has been a strong performer since youth league. He's a terrific athlete who for whatever reason didn't connect with this coach. I do think the coach has a compassion deficiency. This isn't Normandy. It's high school football. I think everyone will regret this at some point. Coach and kid. What a friggin shame that it came to that. Good luck to all involved there. It broke my heart to see that.
RocketHouse
Definitely an ugly night of football. Two of the most underachieving teams in 2A battling it out on a wet field. Community finished 1-9 with 20 seniors. They looked to have a confrontation between teammates on their sideline as well. Forrest's problems have been well documented and are no less frustrating. RocketHouse
Back on topic to get the Waverly faithful interested. Just thoughts from watching Waverly Highlights on the unapproved site. The team doesn't look as good as they did in 2017. #11, 37, and 45 are very good. Not many of the supporting players stand out on film. Lineman are aggressive on run blocks and downfield but struggle with pass protection when the RB goes out on a route. #11 is a good high school QB, strong arm, makes good decisions, but is not fundamentally sound. Likes to ad lib. Will throw without setting his feet. Off back foot. Across the field. Good runner. #45 looks to have lost a step and gained some pounds from last season. Doesn't look as quick. Still a strong runner. #37 will be running wild through our secondary. The defense is OK vs the run or the pass but not very good against teams that can do both. They should easily handle Forrest but may struggle with CA or even Lewis Co in the weeks to come. I don't know much about Peabody or the Memphis 2A's but the teams I've seen from the east (Watertown and Trousdale) will go up and down the field on their defense and have the horses to slow their offense down. If Coach Lansdell gets the team fired up and with enough steam going into that game there’s always a chance of an upset which is what we’ll be hoping for. Appreciate your opinion General. What film did you see, just curious. Also have you seen 2018 Waverly play?

I seen some video also of CA also! I like the fresh red paint they got on the helmets. 4 hours ago, BulldawgsRise said: If Coach Lansdell gets the team fired up and with enough steam going into that game there’s always a chance of an upset which is what we’ll be hoping for.

Those three teams have become the toast of 2A and our program cratered.
