You can't choose multiple teams with a shot and then say you picked them for Cookeville.  It doesn't work that way.

You can't pick everyone in the preseason then whittle it down as the season progresses.

Or can you? :)

Ok Southy, but I think if you go back and look. I’ve been saying since last season that Trousdale was likely one of the top two teams in the east. Maybe I didn’t pick them solo like you did, but I have been a fan for awhile.  That’s why I picked them last week in your contest. That’s why I am picking them again this week. I was surprised they beat Tyner like they did though.

Trust me, my feelings aren’t hurt. I’m a middle aged has been who has nothing to do with outcome either way..

I can’t watch every team play, unlike college or pro’s nor can you. So I would figure if you take all the variables (H2O playing at home, H2O having the head to head, etc..) and take away TC’s ancient history ( Someone made a comment about UC and TC playing better in November. ThThee kids playing this game were six the last time TC made a deep run and their coach is a first timer as well) along with all the TC crowing ( the squeaky wheel gets the grease)  someone would of took all the variables that are actually variables for this duo and picked H2O..

As they say, we will see Friday for sure!

You guys have 11 year olds playing....now that is impressive.

TC won it all in 2013..just saying:thumb:

I was thinking out loud it could be a changing of the guard so to speak for this year with SP and TC against a region rival.  I believe TC will avoid that.

Y’all could pull it off but will need to play lights out and get a few breaks. If y’all get early lead.....

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
