2014 team had some better individual players. I just think this one is better rounded.

I get what you’re saying now. 2014’s best player was Ricky woods. He had a play to go against any defense any team through at him all he had to do is control his QB and made sure he played every Friday night.

Ok I think I got The jest of it. And this is not the thread to debate it. But saying all privates cheat is wrong. It is easy to group everyone together. Just like all the open enrollment public schools. And don’t complain about Memphis open enrollment especially if Fairley gets to the ship.

I’ve never claimed tca has cheated. I’ve never thought that. I do know that privates schools prior to the rule change did give athletes academic scholarships and had work study programs. This a peabody vs MAHS thread but there really isn’t a discussion about this game. A Columbia academy supporter said  today in another thread that he hoped they got their stuff together. He thinks they have a good chance this year before they have to move to the harder division.  I kinda read in to that and makes me think they stayed in d1 with the hopes they could beat up on the public schools.  I know tca situation was different. I’m sorry if you took that as me lumping you in with other schools never crossed my mind.  As far as fairley and transfers I think that’s a joke too.

In any sport it’s a joke. TCA plays by the rules that’s why they are the most well liked private school in Jackson. If Peabody played anyone besides that Nashville Christian they would’ve repeated. There’s no way a kid from Jamaica comes to Nashville just to go to school that so happens to be up for an Sec all linebacker spot.

I was told he was adopted from Congo Africa by his parents. They also had like 3 lineman and the rb  that was d1 prospects or commits. All on one team from a school that has 190 high schools students lol

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
