Ivey at 5, Isbell at 4, and Lundy at 5 aren’t good. Everything else looks pretty solid. Isbell should be 1, Ivey and Lundy should at the very least be 2. Ivey is going to run all over everyone at 106 with the exception of McDaniel. I can’t wait to see those 2 lock horns.

If you think Isbell should be number 1 then William Witt should just move up to 132 and take that number 1 spot. He did beat Isbell 12-8 and lost to Medina by 1 point then stuck him for 5th during state tournament.

If you think that makes Witt automatically worthy then you should rethink your logic. Yes Witt beat Isbell, but Isbell also has a major decision over 113 lb champ Hunter Borders. Isbell has also wrestled really well in the off season and had improved a lot, with some big results. I’m not saying Witt wouldn’t be 1 at 132 and I’m not even saying he may not beat Isbell again, but basing this off of a 12-8 win, 9 months ago..seems a little over the top. If you go back through my posts, I’ve said it a million times....styles make matches. Maybe Witt matches up well with Isbell. But based on body of work, Isbell gets the nod imo. But that’s all it is... my opinion. And you’re welcome to yours! No matter what though, it doesn’t mater what weight these 2 are at, they will both be contending for a state title without a doubt.

I’m not knocking your opinion just curious to know what you were basing that opinion on that’s all and also pointing out Medina is placed above Isbell and Witt stuck him in the 5th place spot during state. Also when did that major decision happen and at which weight class?

In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
