You must be looking through daddy goggles then? Talent besides a couple kids...not one person would have started for TC, H2O, Baxter those talented kids on SC may not have started for any of those teams. Depth... hard to have depth when you have 35 kids including freshmen.

And you are a professional one the subject?

You want to talk about depth? Been many years Trousdale barley had 25 kids but still had depth and run over whatever got in thier way

Yes I realize this, but you mentioned depth saying he had depth. TC didn't have depth they had dudes that didn't come off the field the entire game and kicked your butt. Because if any of those dudes came off the field it would have hurt them.

Then you should know as well as I do that SC depth was left on the sidelines like always. I have sit and watched practice and have seen several kids that should be playing and never see the field

I know for a fact SC didn't hit the weight room didn't condition and prepare in the off season the way most teams do. You can't run a program like that and expect these kids to do great things

Do they not have weights during school? Do they not lift during season? I know some very good teams still playing that lift on gameday. If they are not doing these things then they need to hire a weight room guy. You know how you get in shape for a sport?

Well from the couple games I watched if they had talent that was not playing then shame on them. From what I could see the talent was playing because them dudes standing on the sidelines didn't pass the eye test from an innocent bystander. So I am sure people around them every day will know better than me.

Lets put it this way. We had juniors sophomores and freshman that would run all over SC starting defense in practice. And how do you earn a spot in high school football? You show yourself in practice

You are delusional if you think different. I have alot of friends and family\alumni in Carthage. They all say the same its politics. And it goes back many many years.

I don't you can go back too far.  Jimmy Maynord didn't give a flip what your name was or who you knew or what your status was, If you could play, you played, Freshman-Sophomore,,,didn't matter,

Can't say the same after Maynord,  I did have questions about some of the  choices for some of the assistants.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • Great to have Coach Peek back !
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
