It’s here, boys! Departing from Middle Tennessee (God’s Country) around 2. Looking forward to The Mic Stand as well.

Cornersville: 34

Huntingdon: 28

I’ve enjoyed all of the back and forth banter you guys have provided. Hopefully none of you take it personal. It’s all just in good fun. If Huntingdon makes it to state, you’ve got a fan in me.

Good post.

I had to take a break from all the stupid on here for a bit.

I for one don't take anything personal on here. Win or lose I will be back at some point tonight to either eat crow or serve it up. Lol

Regardless of outcome, I do hope that Cornersville will stay relevant in 1A, Lord knows we need more competitive teams than are currently across the state.

Swenson is definitely not without his fair share of head scratching calls, either. Starting with the call to go for 2 in the state championship game in 2012. That potentially cost us a gold ball. That was Huntingdon's best team since those 03-04 teams.

His utter refusal to throw the ball has been questioned as well. Especially this year now that we know we have a kid that sling the football than anyone we've had the past several years.

We've seen glimpses of it throughout the year, so we know we have those plays in the arsenal. But that gun never does you any good if you don't take it out of the holster.

I agreed with the 2 pt try.he should have called a timeout when gville was kicking the onside kick .and made sure everyone knew what to do.they stayed back and let the ball come to them instead of going after the ball.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
