Take it easy man. Give the head coach a chance to prove! He is technically 15-6 in 3 years as head coach at a Clarksville NE program that had missed the playoffs entirely the year before he took over. That isnt bad. Let's see what he can do at Gallatin

Not trying to be an A Hole but if a team cant qualify for the playoffs in todays times of 9 different divisions you should be FIRED.  You only have about 50-55 teams in each public school classification.

You just threw Shad under the bus.  And he is a state title winner.

Looking forward to seeing what Gallatin’s new HC can do.  Excitement is building!!

Maybe Gallatin will beat Hillwood, Glencliff, and Hunters Lane again.  It’s not the 1990s any longer.

*List of STATE CHAMPION programs they have won against since 2010*: (all wins & title counts are since 2010)

1 - Oakland - 1 title & 1 runner-up

2 - Beech - 2 titles & 1 runner-up

3 - Henry County - 2? titles & 1 runner-up

4 - Trousdale - 2 titles & 1 runner-up

*List of State Title runner-ups they have beat since 2010:

1 - Hendersonville - 2 appearances

2 - Hillsboro - 1 appearance (& 08 Champ)

3 - Springfield - 1 appearance

*NOTEABLE TEAMS BEATEN*

1 - Mount Juliet

2 - Brentwood

3 - Shelbyville

4 - Summit

5 - Wilson Central

6 - Stewarts Creek

Not many programs can say they have beat most of the teams on this list. And yeah, Einstein, this isn't the 1990's you're right. This is in the 2010's.

They want to get better, and can get better. No doubt. But to act as if they are in "Hunters Lane & Glencliff category" shows your unintelligence. Congratulations.

All of those wins since 2010? Who was the coach for those wins? The guy you just got rid of?

Is this April 1st!  MUST BE APRIL FOOLS JOKE!  With all the "supposed interest" this is your coach! What I been saying for several weeks. People at top are joke and this is makes the hire of Williams look like the best hire ever!  No words for me to express my ????????? NO playoff wins, 3 years experience, TSSAA problems! GREAT news for surrounding programs!

GO JACKETS!

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
