Alcoa by 3 scores. Rankin tends to get conservative in title games (but its also why he has won them all). If they can pull out some unlikely scores and throw the kitchen sink at em' then West TN has a shot. But i doubt it

That's why I think Covington can play with Alcoa this year if we avoid turnovers. Take away the first interception (throw the ball away) and the gift fumble in the end zone (even if we just punt it out of there the way our D was playing) and you have a different ball game. 

 

 

 

 

I'm glad that speedy fast WR that scored first for Covington last year graduated. He was hard to cover.

Alcoa’s fumble in the first half as they were driving deep into Covington territory changed the momentum of the game also.

Yeah, but no points were scored off that turnover. I guess you could hypothesize that Alcoa was stopped from scoring though.

Covington went to war in 6 inches of mud and rain for 4 qtrs vs Stratford.  If you havent seen Stratford dont comment.  Size and athletes playing a role of Cinderella with confidence and momentum.  The Chargers showed up.   They will show up Saturday.  It will be a great game.  Our game is based on quickness and speed.  Friday we played smashmouth.  Sat it will be nice to stand and run.  

....then, I am glad Alcoa played Austin East twice in a month. They had two speeds.......going..and GONE!
