Region 1 was really down last year, should be much improved this season.  Region 2 may be in the same boat. Hard to say.

Oneida will be up and Rockwood will be down from what I've read and the conversations I've had. I'm hoping at the very least Meigs is as least as good as we were. Cumberland Gap and Wartburg probably about the same.

Well I'm a Hampton homer but being honest I think SG will be the team to beat in region 1. Oneida is my team in region 2  and thats nothing against any of the others but I'd have to say Meigs in that region.  Hampton will be Large up front but  they really don't have a game changing athlete. QB will be a goodun but only a soph thats not had to run the show. It'll take a team effort on both sides of the ball to produce a lot of wins. My cup is a little over half full.

Wow ,Didn't know about another one. SG could be hard to handle. That being said Hampton will  be improved .

SG should be a thorn in the side. Especially with their chain gang LOL!

We got a ways to go...Young again in so many ways but talent and grit is inspiring. Got some old timers be here this spring and summer doing a lil training to mature some of the youth

How much improved do you think South Greene will be over last year?

Really hard to say but to be a real contender, they'll have to be quite a bit better. Also think all 4 top teams in region 1 will be improved. SG did lose some kids that were a big part of last years team. I'm also betting Hampton will be much improved. Shoot they had SG down 22 to 0 last year. They blew the lead but could have easily won that game.

Let's not forget some key injuries Hampton suffered in that game too. With Oaks out, once the run got into the secondary, they were up against a freshman safety

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
