I actually probably would. I go for the 2 big ones-the gold ball and the spirit (sportsmanship) award. Anything less than those 2 seems hollow to me. Just my eyes though.

Hollow or not, I thought she deserved it. In too many instances awards go to upperclassmen or a member of the winning team, even though our eyes and stats say otherwise. Absolutely the most impactful player in the classification won it.

Nah. I’m well into the thousands. I’ve sat in gyms across many states watching high school basketball. Not aau. I’ve watched topped ranked recruits and the little guys. I’ve blamed my fair share of referees. What doesn’t help you. Is Chadwell and Mcbee went a nice 0-14 from the field.

Congratulations to Karly Weathers. Well deserved. Played her heart out. Great attitude and sportsmanship. No dirty playing from the fantastic freshman. Can't wait to see what this young lady does in the rest of her high school career. Congrats to Gibson County on the win. Hope everyone has a safe trip home.

Gibson County is just automatic from the FT line. 10-10 down the stretch of this game. Karly Weathers for Loretto is a player. She alone kept Loretto in the game. K.J. White still done a really nice job of guarding Karly Weathers. Loretto will be back next year in my opinion. A very young team. Gibson County just has a better overall team but don't really have a star player like Karly Weathers from Loretto.

They truly play team ball & depend on everyone that plays to help them win. Congratulations to Gibson County for taking home the 2018-19 Class A State Championship. Karly Weathers was just named MVP. Some may disagree that the MVP shouldn't go to the losing team but Gibson County didn't have a player that was really the MVP so I agree with Karly Weathers getting the MVP.

Loretto has 1 fantastic player and 4 average ones....GC has 5 pretty good players....I'll take 5 pretty goods every time....

I agree Gibson County plays team ball. Everyone gets involved and they hit very well today. Great team. Look to see them back next year
