Blair is still enrolled at Bradley Central and was at school yesterday. Don't know where you get these rumors from. She has not dropped out at BCHS (yet) and her sister is also still enrolled there as of today.

Going to be awkward if she stays for blackandgold. Might not want to sit behind her dad after crap you have spewed on here.

I have a family member that plays for Gibson County and she has had a roller coaster ride with ups and downs. Coaches do things to kids to make them mentally tough and yes they are very tough ways and punishments that happen some times. Lots of times the family including myself gets hurt more than the child. But coaches in all reality usually means well for the kid. I have learned that over the years. But it is very difficult some times and lots of times it ends in transfers and players quit. Don’t know this situation at all and don’t know the coach or the player personally. But I wish the player good luck in the future as well as Bradley moving forward. I hate this happend because a lot of the time this ends up being a lose lose situation for both parties. Hopefully they get this resolved. Kid is a really great player and was the spark plug last year in winning the Gold Ball.

As I said, I sat behind him at the East Hamilton game.  He did not hide that he was not happy with her being benched.  If he thought this was the best move for his daughter- then he should have finished the season out and then made the move during the off season.

So... let me see if I understand. she has a mom & dad in town & they signed over legal guardianship of their daughter to a grandmother so she could transfer & play basketball at another school???
interesting world we live in...

Don’t want to get into any merr bashing . She has spent many hours at my granddaughters home . So sad fo all this has happened! If you read the Tssaa by-laws it clearly stated that if you have a change of guardianship then student must live in that new guardians home for 12 months before she is eligible! Now don’t know how tssaa will handle. I do know they are aware of this situation. Bradley may not even challenge because they will move on with the players they have!!

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
