I thought the starting QB was a freshman last season for Gordy?

They didn’t sniff the end zone in the first hour of play.  They may have scored 3 times after that first hour...I only stayed for an hour.

Nope, the starter was a senior, however, he was a first year starter. The starter this year did play some later in the year as an 8th grader.

Crozy, I would like to see another SP and Gordy matchup this season in SP. I’m not convinced SP played well at all last season in The Jungle.

Gville had their mishaps in that game last year as well, however, I believe SP hurt themselves quite a bit more than Gville hurt them. It also hurt us not having Givens, but you have to play with who ya got.

I'd welcome a trip to SP this year. However, I'd rather you come to the Jungle.

No sir, that’s not happening this season. If these two teams play it will be in SP in the quarterfinals.

Gordy should win it but everyone will compete. I think Gordy had a decent team last year and still won the region Id say it turns out a lot like it did last season.

I know Clay scrimmaged Upperman and I read a little about it on the 3A boards. Monterey scrimmaged Coalfield. I'm interested in that one, as we play Coalfield as well. Any feedback from those scrimmages?

We scrimmaged Dekalb and didn't look good at all. It was 1-0 with the starters, but that score is not indicative of the play on the field.

I got some feedback on the Coalfield scrimmage from last week today. Heard Monterey pulled a lot of starters after first series. Couple guys got hurt on both sides. I asked about the score and told them what was posted on here and they told me they didn’t think that was correct but said Coalfield had some good players. Monterey has picked up a Freshman who is going to be a Very good running back and prob see some playing time this year as a freshman. Monterey scrimmages White County tonight.
