I think both these teams are overrated and living off past accomplishments this year.  Should be a good game tho

shots fired! Shots Fired! Take Cover!

Neither team has proven anything at this point. TC beat a less than 100% FCS team and Watertown beat a Gordy that they should have and lost to a Nolansville team as they should have. Tonight should be a better measuring stick for both.

TC backfield is primed to be dominate, however their line play needs to catch up. Im sure we will see lots of improvement from Week 1 to tonight for them.

TC defense seemed to pick up where it left off last year in Week 1. Very good against the run but a good passer could give them fits.

Gen. best of luck to you guys. Eli seems to have finally gotten things going with the rockets.

Hope to see another shutout for the Yellow Hatted vistors but ill say:

TC 21

WHS 6

I think TC's Defense is much too strong for the Tigers. I also think TC will have a couple of big plays that will blow this open. I expect a closer ball game than what the scoreboard shows.

You may win, but you’re wishful thinking on the score!!

We shall see though!

I did edit my score. Got to having a nightmare thinking of what Hackett is drawing up right now and thought, nope we wont score that last TD.

I think a big play on special teams will either get TC a score or set up one. Possibly a big play on D will do the same. I think TC will be able to put together a good drive as well to put one in. I expect a tight first half and TC to go up by 2 scores late and put it away.

    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
