No, but not sure of your point. WV's non-region schedule was pretty tough. It's easy to cherry pick a weak opponent or two in any team's schedule.

I said the schedule was softened up.  No McMinn, no Cleveland.  Swapped for Karns and a down 2A school that got half a hundred hung on em by a 1A school.  4-6 would have been 2-8 last year so that’s my point.

If that 1A school you're mentioning was South Pittsburg, those Pirates would have hung 50 points or more on Bradley.  If I was going to soften up a schedule, I sure wouldn't have had Bradley, East Hamilton, or Loudon on there.  Bottom line, WV improved this year with a young team and better coaching.

Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if the pirates hung 50 on the Bears.  Wish they’d have hung 100 on Jasper.  In your scenario They would hang 100 on WV right?  You think I’m joking but I’m not.

No way S Pitt would score 50 on Bradley. They are really, really good for a 1A program, but they don’t have a better offense than McMinn, Soddy or Cleveland.

WV did improve this year by miles, but they have historically scheduled weak non conference games. Clearly by dropping Cleveland this year, they are trying to soften it up more.

I’m sure they are improved quite a bit.  Glad they have.  They have passed on 2 big revenue games by not playing 2 teams that have historically been in their region/district and are separated by a couple hundred or so in enrollment.

WV doesn’t need money. They have 400 band parents & family members buying tickets every week. :roflol:

Do you Bradley fans think the Bears will get revenge against Farragut next week? Bradley's coach and many Bradley fans thought Bradley should have won that first game against Farragut this year.
I think Bradley, McMinn and obviously Maryville wins the first round. I don't think William Blount will beat Dobyns-Bennett.

With this defense i don't see Bradley winning. With this coaching staff i don't see Bradley winning.

I admit I was astonished with Bradley's defensive alignments last night KNOWING what McMinn would be doing and who they'd be doing it with. And the Bears didn't seem to adjust much even when McMinn had a 3 point lead late in the game and went for it on 4th and 2.
With a few alignment adjustments and some serious team soul-searching, Bradley should do alright against a 5-5 Farragut team.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
