Looks like Region 1 may be stronger than everyone thought. I believe they will have 3 teams win Friday night. I don’t want to be a downer but if we don’t fix couple of little things we could exit early. Too many penalties!  Have to get better at pass protection, be accurate and throw some short routes, and catch deep ball on defense stop the power running game and pressure the passer.

Have we been watching different games? One team has run it on us successfully all year. Everyone likes to toot Oneida’s horn about being a power running team and we held them to less than 100 on the ground. I get it, everybody could be better, but we’re not in shambles. As long as we stay healthy we’ll be fine.

We held them to less than 80 also, all on last drive,39 carries for 79-155 total yards.Yes as long as 19 stays healthy you will be good to semis then its a game!

We’ve beat our last two opponents 127-6, what’s that 80%? Even if they are terrible. Some people need to get their feet on the ground a little more. Wanting a team that rushes for 300 a game to throw it some more. I bet he’s one of the guys that yells “Open up the playbook a little more!!” when we’re up 35-0 in the second quarter.

On a different note I got a different viewing angle this last game. Here's one of our younger guys laying the lumber. It was a good play and angle.

Ain't nobody shading us up here about Region 2 teams.... Nobody expecting Region 1 to march thru that region 2.

Really? You think all they need to get to the semi's is 1 kid carrying the ball?

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
