Lipscomb Academy at Grace Christian Academy

Lipscomb has had quite a turnaround from their 1-10 2017 season. New blood, new attitude and a new buzz around that program. I haven’t seen their games yet, just know they have a good young QB and a WR with an Ohio State offer. GCA has a good wake up call last night. Good thing it came against Goodpasture instead of LA. I’d say the Rams will have a good week of practice and be ready for the opening bell Friday night.

This game will be a handful, but I think Grace has just enough to pull it off. They have to play better on defense than this past week, or for that matter, late in the season. I'd like to see Grace put some points up and make this more of a track meet. I like their chances better that way than a close defensive, low scoring game.

A track meet is exactly what L.A. would like this to be.  4 receiver sets that include TE with exotic looks.  QB is decent and getting experience in the offense.  They aren’t big or fast, but tackle very well with a good offensive scheme.  Haven’t seen Grace in person but I like LA by 2 scores.

2 good teams but based on knowing the stats of Grace's receiving / QB corps, combined with knowing the coach's offensive strengths, if the talent is anywhere close to equal, I'll take Grace every time in a track meet. Your mileage may vary. 

I can't say whether GCA currently has the personnel to run it, but there is not a better pass oriented offensive HS coach in the state. If you care to take a look at some offensive stats from his history you'll see what I mean.

will b closer than what the gurus on this thread have projected....tho the majority of Pickers in the D2-AA Bracket Contest have favored the Snake Ranglin Baptist of Karns over the Champions of last weeks Church of Christ Bowl at the North Brainerd Levee Swamp

 That's a fact. They will leave Nashville about 9 am tho. It's has worked for them all season. See no reason to change now. I say the Rams take this one in a relatively close 2 score game.

Rams defense had an early wake up call vs GP, then settled into the game and played very solid. Gave up a late TD that didn’t mean anything. They will have to play their A game against this team. WR #10 is as good as we’ve seen this year.
