We’re both beating a team that was beaten by Alcoa to get to the semifinals. Discuss.

Alcoa 23 Blackman 14 - Maryville 17 Alcoa 3 - Oakland 31 Blackman 14

So, using the math system developed by the Harvard school via Andrew Jackson Hwy that puts Maryville winning next week by 6 points. Thankfully I graduated from Maryville and know each game has a different outcome all it's own and not determined by last year's score(s) or any games this season.

Oakland has become very susceptible on defense, and Blackman appears to corrected some major problems they were having on offense.  If i can remember correctly, it has been since 2014 during the regular season since Blackman has beaten Oakland. I think this will end on 11/22/19.  There are a lot of ifs, but Blackman is a more physically talented team hands down.  Now, we that said, Creasy’s is far superior head coach.  I just see Blackman controlling the game, and Oakland having to play catch up.  All in all Blackman by 14 points.  This would be the second time in school history that Blackman made the semi-finals.

Good game.    Good luck to Blackman next year.   On to the next one.    Go Patriots!!

You forgot Oakland 40, Blackman 0 in your equation.

Regardless, it's been a long time. Wasn't aware Smyrna has won at Maryville

Daniels, Russell, and Powell were the Smyrna stars that year who led them to play Cleveland in the 4A semis . We played Smyrna 2x that year and split 1-1. If not for a rash of key injuries on Maryville's side the '95 team could have been the ones to start the title game resurgence instead of the '97 team.
