Just barely old enough to remember that team. Smyrna had some pretty great teams at Smyrna before they finally just over the hump and went back to back

Luke Powell's 1st start came in that game lining up against yours truly. They barely lost to a dynasty Cleveland team in the semis and played Riverdale better than most that year as well.

As much as some of the William Blount folks dislike their current coach, Shadowens had him a good team that year.

Larry Daniels was the engine for that train and if not for one Tony Styles from Cleveland making a goal line stand Smyrna would have snuck into the 4A title game that year. Take Luke Powell and add some speed with a better arm, then you'd have Larry Daniels...

Man...what a butt whipping.  I didn’t think our defense would get pounded like that.   Hats off to Oakland on that.  Now the personal fouls on us ...happened all year and never got fixed, so we deserve for those to haunt us tonight.    And offensively...we were gross all year.  I thought we had buried the wingT or whatever we ran tonight was.  And then special teams...we still find a way to do something bad on them in big games.  The KOR turnover before the half really hurt us.  
 

oh well...5 losses on the year....most in a while, but we will bounce back and I hear the basketball teams will be good!

Blackman is a poorly coached team.  They have much more talent than Oakland.

I watched the 2nd half. The talent is there. Physically pretty evenly matched. Coaching and execution was the difference!

Okay Mr. Know it all, let’s put some money on how many current seniors on the Patriots sign SEC scholarships this year.  Blackman has more talent than OHS, I would say even Creasy would agree.
