This one is going to be a barn burner. DeKalb came to Lewisburg and put it on us Tigers. Nolensville is playing solid ball as well. Here is to the Knights making that 1st semi final appearance. Unfortunately whoever wins will be a sacrificial lamb on Black Friday. We know the feeling quite well in Marshall but it is so fun to practice on Thanksgiving day.

Can Dekalb come in and shock the world a 3rd straight week?  From all the posts they'll be playing in a crazy environment, curious to see  if the rain will play a factor in that environment.  DeKalb's defense has always been the weakness in the glory years of 08,09,12 against decent offenses.  Nice to see their D playing well.  One of two things will happen 1)  DC comes in with same intensity and chip on their shoulder the last few weeks and gets the W by a score  2)  DC comes in laxed after beating the opp. region's 1 seed in which case it gets ugly fast.   Hope its #1, either way its nice to see the program achieve history but why stop now???

I will say this.  I think Nolensville spanks Dekalb like training a puppy with a newspaper. However, Nolensville better enjoy this year and next because they WILL be moving up with an enrollment already over 1250.   They will be playing 4A ball with an enrollment close to 1400 next year.   Just doesn't seem fair to schools that have the enrollment of a true 4A school.  how does the T$$AA allow this to happen?  How can a school be off on their anticipated enrollment by close to 400 kids?

Have you visited Nolensville recently?  It's making a lot of top 10 lists for fastest growing towns in the U.S.  They can't build houses fast enough.  TSSAA probably did not foresee this kind of growth.  I predict in the next few years we'll see another high school in the Arrington-College Grove area due to the growth.  I don't speak for NHS but I'd bet they're looking forward to moving into 5A where they'll have more nearby, natural rivals like Summit and Page.  Hoping to see a good game Friday.  Much respect to DC for getting this far.

You are correct about that but the schools report the predicted growth not TSSAA.  Also Summit with over 1600 kids will be moved up to 6A and I have heard that Page with right at 1100 may be moved down a class depending on how other schools numbers come in.  Spring Hill will be moved up to 5A next cycle as well with right around 1250 kids. Should be interesting

thank you. People like you have been what they have needed to keep playing like this. if you think 8 is going to explode ask any teams thats played 15 he can and will shut your guy down on O. LA had the best WR that anyone has seen all year guess how many catches he had on him and he was all state. 0!!!!! im telling you if Aldinos is on and Bradford is running the ball this will be a great ball game. Didnt Marshall spank Nolensville. Didnrt DC just beat them.  NO one is getting spanked. This willl be a great game.

Im curious what happened during Marshall/Nolensville game?  For them to wax LA the way they did, I would've thought the same result when y'all played Marshall.

I will agree that QB play will determine outcome of this game, I expect a physical game and truth be told that scares me about this matchup.  With the O-line and play-makers on the outside and the Def. playing good football right now if 3 makes the right reads and doesn't give the opposing team the short field they can play.  How he responds to pressure will be the determining factor.

Your 100 percent correct.  it kills me that everyone just thinks the Nashville teams just win. DC just beat the 1 and 3 seed from that side. Do i say DC blows Nolensville out no!!!!!!!!! i expect another game like Tullahoma. Both sides to score a lot. i do really believe 15 can match up with 8 well. 11 from Marshall got to see what its like last week. I do believe 5 is a key for DC to if he plays well and ladet and may set the edge DC can get another gap in the scoring. The Rain could be a huge factor and if Bradford is healthy and crook is playing i would by far give the run edge to DC in the rain. No matter what happens what a great yr by both squads. See you guys Friday night. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to the DeKalb boys. Coach Sanders may not like it but I hope he has to wait at least one more week before his football boys return to the hardwood.

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
    • 1A: Brayden Baker - Eagleville Rylan Collins - Lookout Valley Luke Treece - Coalfield   2A: Carter Daniel - Loretto Gray Eubanks - Huntingdon Trevan Myers - Pigeon Forge   3A: Gabe Eddington - Montgomery Central Carson Parrott - Livingston Academy Jaxon Walker - Loudon   4A: Eli Evans - Farragut Andrew Hill - Central  Brady Scott - Sevier County   Division II-A: Wesley Alig - CAK Cooper Jones - Boyd Buchanan Gunner Skelton - Columbia Academy   Division II-AA Brock Beddingfield - CPA Dominic Monaco - Brentwood Academy Tomas Valincius - Baylor
