Theres 50 posters per school on here. Forrest has me and Salem and thats it. He's smarter and more well-connected than me by a mile.

So I use humor and half the time yall are smart enough to get it.

I live a long ways from the school. I was taking care of a relative for a while and now I am long in the tooth and have faced down a couple of serious medical enemies.

The big secret is, I am probably done after this year's Rockets are, but for good for me. They will be back. But I don't have it in me. Nothing to do with you guys. This is about me and what I can manage. About 19 things hurt on me every day, and unfortunately it's not always the same 19 things. I need to conserve my energy so I can get a few more years on this Earth from the Good Lord, if He will allow it.  I won't do a big fanfare, but I won't slink away like a coward either. I'll post my version of a recap on whatever game is Forrest's last, and that will be it. It's a good place here, and y'all are good folks. Even the Trenton'ers. 

Until then, enjoy me. You will miss me when I am gone.

Good post General and I pray the Good Lord blesses you with many more years to come. I pray for your health as well.  I've always enjoyed your posts.  I like how the board is diversified.  If we were all the same we'd be boring unemotional robots most likely.  Take care and I hope to read plenty more of the General.

I love all Rockets' teams. But I'm expecially thankful to God for these kids on this squad. God didn't have to let this season happen, much less for me to see it, but He did. He is a great God. Blessed be His name above all things. If Forrest lost 49-0 Friday those boys and everyone involved, cheerleaders, concessions, staff, managers, all of 'em, have given me and the community more joy than we deserve. 

And I think they just might have some fight left in 'em

In all seriousness, if you’re not pulling all of our legs in this one, I hope you are able to overcome whatever issues you have to deal with physically. I for one do enjoy the banter with you & I’m glad Forrest has made it this far into the playoffs cause I don’t know if I’d have ever had the chance to cross paths with you like I have. I hope to continue one more week at least.

There's little doubt that I will miss the General when he "retires", but conditional upon your health, I doubt that you will "go quietly into that good night", whenever the 2018-19 edition of the Rockets fade into the past, however far they make it. If somehow this little addiction of mine called coachT contributes negatively to your well being, I'll say that I can't blame you and wish you well. I can see myself being a general nuisance around here as long as the Lord allows me to be able. Contrary to your thoughts, I hope that this site keeps my mind a little more nimble, and my time here more entertained than being a hinderance to my health, but I guess we shall see. I have rolled the possibility of making the drive up to watch this game around in my head for a few days, and barring work preventing, have decided that I will on one condition... I'd genuinely like to shake your hand in person.
