We may be able to play week 2 if they allow us to practice tomorrow.  I'll just try to tune into a game, May listen to you're game.

Hive105.com will carry it but not sure if we’re on live or if the county school is. They try to alternate but if we’re not live you can listen to the replay so might get two for one. If you use something like tune in radio the station is WBNT 105.5

Thanks, could be a fun game to listen to, think there will be a bunch of sloppy games until teams get a few games under their belts. We will be starting way behind the 8 ball this year.

I expect it to be a mess myself. All the mistakes of a first scrimmage added to the typical first game mistakes to boot. Might take 4 hours lol.

Well flush week 2 for Carter Co, canceled the board meeting because the Governor never signed the waiver. Reckon they are to take it up again this Thursday. Football this season is a pipe dream. Covid wins the state in every class, unfair advantages, lol

Can’t see how Carter county is so concerned about liability when most of the state is proceeding. It was my understanding that a bill was passed protecting healthcare, first responders and schools from liability already. May be thinking of something else but if schools don’t have some level of protection I can’t see so many going forward.

Reckon if he leaves it on the desk for 10 days, its basically the same as signing it, just sorta takes him off the hook. Like I said before,no one from the top down wants to own anything, they all just pass it on the the next in line. Sad Business.

Has nothing to do with Lee. This is local politics and a couple board members are behind it. The one that will be running for mayor should start to either rethink his present decisions or save his money and time running for mayor.

But we are the epicenter of the world, alot more cases than Knoxville or Memphis.lol, may be local politics but I think some are in their last term. I'm betting their is not a Democrat in the bunch. Carter County may have 3 democrats.

Why won't he sign it is my thought.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
