Mr Williams has been anti Bradley from day one.  He lost my respect when he came into Cleveland and split up an AAU team because he would not let any elementary/middle school girls that intended to go to Bradley play for him.  A child.  He loses my respect more when he continuously shows his true self at games- cursing Reuter one year and this year the refs.  I have grandchildren at these games who are watching and this does not make them look forward to playing high school ball.  A coach should be an example and that he is not.  It is one thing to have love and passion for the game and your team (like you do).  But it is another to be disrespectful- and it has bled through to his team as they act just like him.  I do not care how much he turns his program around- I will not support someone who does not teach girls respect and discipline.  From what I see the Bearettes have both of those virtues  AND they win games- (they do make the news for what they do ON the court at tournaments- not back at the hotel room!!)  This is a forum for opinions and I can state mine any time I want. You earn respect- it's not free.

If you are truly a Grandpa it is really sad that you come on a message board and continue to throw shade at children.  One thing that always amazes me is how people try to elevate their own by tearing down others.  Bradley is a great basketball program with arguably the richest tradition in the whole state.  You have an axe to grind with this coach because he challenges your tradition and your dominance.  He took over a two win program and in four years is competing with the best teams in the state.  Williams is not perfect but the results are definitely trending upward for the Cleveland girls program.  You made a comment earlier about him stealing your players.  Did it occur to you that the young lady was a Cleveland kid from the beginning and might have never wanted to even be at Bradley?  I am personally glad to have a coach that your people don't like.  It means he is doing something right.

I have decided to set up a fundraiser here at East Hamilton. It will be a steel cage, loser leave town match. Coach Tony Williams vs bleedblackandgold (we don’t know your real name as you keep a hidden identity). Are you willing to help out the fine people over here at East Hamilton and take part in this event?

This would be hilarious- LOL!

Not throwing shade at children.  But whatever.  You are not worth my time.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
