Clay Co vs. Gordonsville

What are your thoughts on this game. I know Clay Co has a big senior class and I feel Gordonsville has been battled tested in the games against Watertown and Trousdale.

I wouldn't call 5 seniors a big class. Clay is actually pretty young with many sophomores and Juniors playing.

They said on the radio they had 17. They may have had wrong information.

That other high school football website has 6 listed. 

I do know that some of their sophomores were held back in jr. high, so they should be juniors.

Clay has played bigger schools in Stone Memorial and Cumberland County. They're likely battle tested as well.

Stone Memorial beat Clay County pretty bad. You’ve played tougher competition and played  them to tight games.

Gordy by at least 7, but wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t more.

Yes.  But I feel whoever loses this game will be out of the running for the region title.  Winner will still have a shot and of course the region winner will most likely host the quarterfinals unless Copper Basin could go in and pull an upset in the 2nd round.

Monterey whipped up on Harriman last night, which I think typically is a decent team . I believe this region comes down to Monterey and GVILLE in week 10. I believe that game is in Monterey as well.

I’m about to give up seeing SP play. I haven’t seen them since last year vs Grundy. Maybe I just need to come up and check this one out since it seems SP will be playing these teams in the playoffs.
