Starters came out mid 2nd quarter.

Yall are clicking right now and I will be pulling for ya in the playoffs. I think y’all got a good chance to make it to cookeville this year.

i didn’t think that earlier in the season.

I appreciate it. But the west is wide open, imo. I expect Huntingdon to make it back to the semis at this point if they keep playing this way. Fayetteville may be a good game. But we will have to see how we match up with whoever comes out of the top half of the bracket. LC, WC, and Greenfield all look like sketchy contenders.

72-30 final.

Competition aside, starters played a good clean game. Came out ready to handle business and took care of the ball.

This game was a confidence builder and good to see the young guys get some work.

I saw a lot I liked last night. We're playing much better offensively than earlier in the year. Our defense is really playing well. Our defensive front is really big and active. I know this has been a rebuilding year but think this team is rebuilt. I gave a huge amount of respect for this Mustang team.

For a team like Perry County to come in and still score a TD on the Mustangs #1 defense is still not bad. Give the Vikings some credit, they didn't give up and kept playing. The Vikings played all 25 (that's right I said 25) players on the roster and had fun. It's hard to get a program back up when most of these kids that are playing have only played for a few years. Not like Huntingdon or Wayne County, etc. who have played since they were 5 years old. Huntingdon is a very good team and they should atleast make it to the Semi-Finals. Unless yall go up against a juggernaut of a passing team, I don't see why yall can't make it to Cookeville and win it. Good Luck the rest of the way.

It was good to see Perry Co keep playing. I’ve seen games that one sided turn dirty and that wasn’t the case in this game. Good luck to Perry Co going forward.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
