They may beat 6A teams

but regular season and postseason are different

can they win a 6A Gold Ball when it matters?

well never know because they are chicken and are afraid to jump up a classification because deep down in their hearts theyll never win a 4A, 5A or 6A Gold Ball

Beating a 6A team in regular season isnt Fearless

Fearless is jumping to the next classification and winning that classes golden ball

until i see otherwise Alcoa has proven it does not have the Guts to jump up a classification

theyd get blown out by like Oakland in 6A playoffs

Blown out??? They may lose, but there is not a team in the State of TN that would blow them out. You are talking about football right?

They have 100 players and benefit from a pair of nearby 1,500-student schools being mediocre, at best, on a yearly basis. Anyone winning a state title in an average size class nearly every year ought to move up at least one unless there is a roadblock such as travel.

Why??? Because they are winning?

They must be the kind of guys that like getting the participation trophies.......crying about someone else winning.

I get it and my team will probably be classified with Alcoa after this two year classification, but it will be my teams responsibility to beat them not Alcoa’s to reclassify so we would have a chance.
It would suck, but that’s not Alcoa’s problem!

Agreed Indian and until they move up they show they are nothing more than Cowards afraid of moving up

Schools such as IMG Academy, Mater Dei, St Johns bosco, centennial (AZ), etc... would run them off the planet

You think of Alcoa as "Cowards"?      Tonight they are playing their 3rd 6A school...... maybe next season they can schedule Clemson and Alabummer.....

I agree. People can't expect them to move up three classes. From my understanding they tried to move up last cycle. But if teams in their region move up, then it becomes a travel issue. I don't blame them for staying in 3A.

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
