McKenzie at Peabody

And we still trying to figure out the two flags on the fake punt.  We watched it 3 times in the booth and Peabody crew on Facebook even said they didn’t see it.  But that is part of the game.

About like the fumble that was picked up that would have been a TD but was blown dead!!!!

And the holding call that negated another TD we had!!!

Yes! From what I was told was they called an ineligible player down field on that fake. Lots of decisions from the refs were questionable. I’m just glad that ref did throw the PI call because I’ve seen some refs ignore that call all together if it wasn’t a more blatant call

That is so true.  As bad as some of the calls were, it was evenly distributed.  Id rather see bad on both side than bad on one side.  The better team won, but the better team did not play the best last night.  McKenzie is the real deal.

Illegal man down field is always called.  But you are right to say sometimes PI is not called.  But that was just the case of a defender getting beat and making the right play not giving up a potential TD.

Absolutely no holding on that play at all.  That score should have been 21-14 in regulation with Peabody on top.  Or it could have very well been the Rebels on top.  These are the type of games needed before Cookeville. Gut check games.

Not an ineligible down field... per one of Peabodys coaches that agrees he could not see any type of penalty on the fake punt...they called pass interference on Peabody and a block in the back on McKenzie.  No where on the film are either of these evident.

None the less, I won’t whine about the officials.  That one play didnt cost us the game.  We played well and had many opportunities to finish it off.
