I’m not sure how we’ll play it Friday night. We are usually a run heavy team. We do have a couple of really good receivers and our QB had his best game of the season last week so who knows. I think the majority of teams in single A rely on the run as their primary offense. I think that plays to Moore County’s favor because it’s hard to stick with it when MC scores every possession and you’re constantly playing catch-up.

Good Call! City’s ability to hit the explosive play is they key they can do it. Huntingdon’s 8 minute drives do no good when your behind d the 8 ball the entire game even with the turnovers your playing Into MC’s hand because law of averages says when you run 40-50 times a game your gonna have a fumble or two and or penalties that kill drives. Huntland was able to hit some big plays to keep it close but turnovers killed them late also

I know right!? Who is really buying fried bologna at a high school football game? It's probably just cooked in the microwave anyways.

I am down with a good fried beef bologna sandwich, but microwaved bologna should get multiple infractions from the refs, unsportsman like conduct, unecessary roughness and late hit for a 45 yard penalty.

I'll say this about City. Their newly eligible players are studs. Big, strong & fast. Their D Line is stout. I dont know how tomorrow night will turn out but I am certain that the Raiders will lay it all on the line and put every ounce of their hearts into winning this game. Just like the many players from MC teams have done in the past. This team is a part of the long, rich tradition of never die, never quit, no surrender style of play known as Moore County football. Good luck Raiders. CONTACT!

Well said Phil. It will definitely be a big  test with all these new kids but just have to lay it all on the line.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
