Would Maryville consider playing DB and McMinn at the same time?

Is it even remotely possible that somebody (TSSAA, one or both health depts.) screwed up so badly last night that they would end up giving both teams a COVID loss, thereby allowing Maryville to have a free 3rd round game against any IFL team of their choosing?    (heh-heh)

From what I understand, the State Dept of Health officially quarantined the entire McMinn Football team yesterday, so it seems as if this is a DB advances or nobody does ruling.

That sounds reasonable according to what we all think we know, its just when you have agencies like the TSSAA (not exactly known for razor sharp decision making) and separate county health departments involved.....      The other thing is that every church, organization, school system, entity, etc. whatever seems to all follow some "general guidelines" but then they make up their own rules as they go along.   So who knows, I guess the TSSAA will spend the weekend playing rock-paper-scissors until they have an answer on Monday......

Another one of those "if this is true" post. Not knocking you because we're all doing it. I just wish somebody would come out with an official statement. And that would be easy for them to do.

You are 100% right, I totally agree,  by now somebody has to know the truth..... but then again it may not be likely but it is possible that somebody royally screwed up last night and the truth would expose that, so now the TSSAA meeting turns into damage control instead of doing what is right.       Just a possibility to consider along with all the other theories floating around.

I'm leaning toward "they royally screwed up" If they did everything right last night it wouldn't take until Monday to make a statement. Their trying to figure out a way to squirm out of it.

Well this is not true SO... They were cleared by the their Health Dept to go. Sullivan Health Dept stopped it.
