Tonight was a wake up call. Our offense was vanilla in big time spots, but the D played good against a heck of a fine McKenzie team. Won’t make a prediction but I expect us to take care of business

This the same Waverly team that Gibson County took to the wire?? Or did they have a bunch out for Covid or something??

That McKenzie qb was amazing last night but I got to tip my hat off to SAM DRIGGERS.  He has shown that he is a winner.  He directed that last drive like a veteran qb.  He made plays that propelled us to a win.  Taking nothing from our line or our receivers, the young 10th grader may not be on the radar now but I am sure he will be next year.  Hats off to that young man who made plays under severe duress.

Mr. Isaiah Hicks.  Mr. cool under fire.  The line blocked.  The center did his job well.  The holder did his job well and Mr. Hicks put in right down the middle with about 5 yards to spare.  What a daunting task.  So much pressure and he did not fold.  I watched him warming up and he looked like a man who was on a mission.  He looked so confident.  How many times have we seen NFL kickers choke under pressure.  Give that young man the game ball.

Honestly you can throw all those stats out the window.  Peabody beat a McKenzie team that is better than anyone you have played and Milan is by far one of the best 3A teams, soon to be 4A in the state.  The oly way to compare would be head to head competition.  That will be on display Friday.

It’s just stats my friend. Mainly to show that Peabody plays a weak schedule and that regardless of those stats, Waverly who you are obviously already looking over based on your posts, will be there Friday with gloves off ready to punch the Tide in the mouth.
