I get the injuries aspect of it... I really do, but the man has excelled at the highest levels. I think he knows how to handle little ole South Pittsburg.

You sure don’t come into a room of kids and tell them that their not going to be scared of anyone and then dodge folks...

Well. We have 3 losses on the schedule most likely. And come oct 22 our entire team will want to quit football bc of how sore they are but sure, let’s not dodge anyone. We coulda scheduled Alcoa, or meigs again, or even a team like Elizabethton. Literally anyone in the state would be easier than Oakland

If I’m thinking right the coach from Oakland got bad blood with South Pittsburgh when he was at Trousdale

They are a 1A school playing THE BEST TEAM IN THE STATE in any class.Scared/Dodging dont have one thing to do with this.Coalfield did this with Catholic a few years ago.It was a fiasco.Pitt is no Coalfield but OHS is on a different  level than those Catholic teams also.

People don’t understand at all. Oakland is returning 20 starters I believe from a team that won the state championship by 23 last season. We are screwed on the highest level.

People who actually believe we can keep it within 70 are so cocky. I love this team, I grew up around the team. I live and breathe SP football. I know most of the players. And on the day of this game I’m going to watch them all get hurt physically and mentally to the highest level possible on a football field. They are going to get blasted off their home field in a way they have never experienced

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.

      Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?

      Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
