High school just lost a GREAT man and equally GREAT coach.

Hope the best for both of you!

Yep. Everyone knows me and TL go way back. The man carried a flower girl down the isle at my wedding for goodness sake lol. I want to publicly say he is a great Christian man and an outstanding role model. He’s always loved and coached his players hard and held his staff to a very high standard (even the volunteer staff didn’t catch any breaks lol). We will miss him greatly. Best of luck Coach Lambert, you will be missed.

Loved playing Oneida under Coach Lambert. Was a great deal of respect between us. Think highly of him and the PCC he taught.

Him an Rhymer will make an amazing team and they’ll definitely impact young men in the right way. Been a bunch of young men give their lives to God during the team devotionals he puts together. He’s a great coach but it’s not his coaching abilities I will miss most.

So does TL moving on at Oneida change the way yall feel?

Depends. If we get someone with a more open playbook I think we could certainly be in the hunt for the region. If we stay more 3 yards and a cloud of dust then I’ll keep my earlier prediction.

1. York

2. Montery

3/4. Rockwood

3/4. Oneida

When we played last year you had to field alot of backup linemen due to covid tracing.  If those were underclassmen you should field a killer line this year. Do you return your qb? I know your rb and punter graduates this year.

We should have a returning QB. We played a freshman who was doing great but he had a season ending leg injury but should be back, a sophomore who also played very well but was new to the position and a junior who was new to the program and wasn’t eligible until mid season that’s a bruiser. He’s the one I told you reminded me of swafford in his size and running style. Not quite as fast but always falls forward kind of runner. Got another kid that’s a stud that only got to play 1 game last year that should be good to go at RB this year. And I believe we have another punter that is just as impressive. Go back to the Meigs game and he’s the one that played after Morgan went out with a knee injury. He’s a boomer! Our line will be big with experience. We’ve got the horses to run with you “big boys” in the East this year. We just gotta not be afraid to let ‘em run. With a different offensive mentality last season we could’ve really made a few games a lot more entertaining with what we had. This year is the same scenario, the ability will be on the field, just have to see what we do with it.

You definitely do have the horses. I thought that qb graduated. Your team and Hampton played similar type ball last year. I expect you to be better this year over last year easily considering you return that qb. You very well may contend for that region if the play calling is good. Just my opinion.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
