How much do the three different color lines for the three point line confuse players? Are teams not shooting good or are they just shooting too far back?

I don't think it's as much the lines as it is the size of the venue. Backdrop for the basket has been discussed many times, and is usually prepared (somewhat) for... I know that our coach practiced at a facility with a deep backdrop to allow for it, but I also think that overall size messes with basket perception. Some very good shooting teams have gone dead fish cold on that floor.

I have noticed that. I also noticed several teams have been shooting at or behind the blue line instead of the white. Shots are on point but hit front of rim

I picked Grainger as my dark horse.  Seen them play in Maryville Christmas tournament and felt they were gonna be a tough out for anyone.  I feel like Westview will have to get out of that zone, Grainger will hurt them and can match up better with size than Meigs.  I felt Meigs just couldn't find the normal offensive rhythm last night.

I thought Northview and Grainger were the premiere teams from east Tennessee, followed closely by Alcoa and Meigs. According to each teams' fans, neither Westview or Meigs had their best game last night, but Westview played well enough to turn the game in the 3rd quarter.

I was t overly impressed today with Northview or Creek Wood. It seems if you can shut down 14, Northview is pretty 1 dimensional

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
