Be careful Shad Roach, you've been identified in real life tough guy. Why you choose to disrespect a man on the internet,  but shake his hands in public is a coward move. Just know he knows.

You've been identified also and it didn't take a rocket scientist to do so  You jabbed at me back in May and it took me 30 minutes to find out who you were but that's neither here or there. Most negative post on here regarding WB are directed at the failures of the program and to bring light to who all is responsible while a few rush to the sides of these failed leaders making excuses to what don't even qualify as mediocre football. Their more interested in finding out who a negative poster is then the problem they created. I don't wish no bad on this program and I do fully agree with the decision to drop Maryville and move into a more competitive situation with schools that also have limited sources to compete with the ones with the right set up and financial strength. My issues with Shad manifested from losing to the worst Bearden team I've ever seen in my life his first year and the excusing of kids not to go play against Oakland that one time in the playoffs leaving the ones who did go in harms way. I knew one of those kids and he took a beating in that game and very lucky not to get hurt permanently so a grown man would have an excuse returning back home with less then a bus load of kids to play. If these new assistant coaches can help I'm all in but the records I posted on this thread don't hide the truth. Not to belittle WB but I will go with Clinton on this game and hope I eat crow but I've heard more positive on them then WB since fall practice started.

First of all Barney , that was Ridge that lost to Bearden.  He then fired himself and Shad became available .. as far as the playoff game at Oakland. WB was 2-9 and no reason to ever play in that game. Some kids elected to end there careers the week before and that was their choice.  So had WB forfeited what would you have said then ??

Let me refresh your memory, some told me if they decided not to go it wouldn't be held against them the following year. Your right it was Ridge. They've been losing so long they all blend together. The Lenoir City game trip when McGill left was really what was on my mind. Just to much to write when it comes to you guys. Willie I will be pulling for you all this week no matter what our differences are

I don’t recall any returning players that were healthy not making the trip.

As far as the lenior city game goes. McGill got beat deep for an early touchdown and they gave him a little coaching I guess he didn’t like .  Defense wasn’t his thing (as he never played at mhs) but he was the best wb had on that day.. Monday in the JV game he scored 3 tds.  Tuesday he enrolled at mhs, so he didn’t leave right after the LC game

Actually I was referencing that game with McGill because of what happened before it since that was his last game and you all have had numerous games with LC. One of the downfalls with social media. Far as why he left I don't know. The only thing I remember is there was an eclipse that day and after I heard he left, maybe that had something to do with it.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
