Sounds like by Friday you should be Covid free if all the CDC requirements are met as far as quarantined 12 days now and 15 by Friday by your math:roflol:. I don't make the rules friend. We played last year without multiple kids in games because the same stuff your team canceled for. All kids practice so why not let those who can play do it. We practiced yesterday but before that didn't practice since Tuesday of last week. Blame us all you want. It was your teams choice not to play. You have kids available, just not the ones you want apparently..

Big bad Meigs is ready and willing to play Friday with what we got. Don't be skeert. Your team is again making a choice.

But was school canceled when you played without those 5 players? I didn’t think so. Bledsoe has been closed since early last week. No school. No sports. Nothing. It wouldn’t matter if every player on the team had 3 negative tests, we have not been in school and not been allowed to gather as a team for practice or any other event. That’s my point. How can you justify playing a game with one or two practices? Our school is supposed to open back Wednesday. What I’m hearing is we will be closed the remainder of this week. It’s a obvious danger to the safety of those kids to be put in that situation, whether that kid is banged up from game 1 or healthy as a horse.

Last Monday and Tuesday and yesterday is all the practice we've had for these 2 weeks friend. Your not so different from us in that aspect. Again we are still willing to play this Friday.

So by kickoff Friday night, y’all would have had 6 practices over the last 14 days.
If we go back Wednesday, IF, we would have 3 over 14 days. That’s very unsafe. Thats my point. Regardless of the win and the loss. Y’all’s first reaction was to say we were dodging this game. That’s just not true. It’s a very obvious safety issue for our players and I’m glad that’s what Coach and the administration chose to do. The most upsetting part is the obvious unwillingness from Meigs county to try and reschedule this game. I know you said that Bledsoe was asked to replace the Dunlap game with the rescheduled Meigs game, and that is absurd. That’s why our administration was willing to lose our home game against Monterey to help y’all out and play during your bye week.

By helping us out sir you can just play Friday. We didn't ask for this we are willing to play. Also kids aren't out of shape if they don't practice for 2 weeks. They are just in less shape. It's not Ideal for you or your school that is obvious. But you aren't covid canceling if you understand what I'm saying you just don't want to play a game with just few days practice. Again it sucks, but the game is able to be played, you have the kids to play it and are choosing not to do so.

Because of Covid our school has been shut down since early last week. That’s why the game is canceled. Not because of players being “less in shape”. Covid has ravaged our county. If there was anyway to safely play this game we would have played it. But just like always Meigs gets the easy way and just takes the win instead of trying to settle it on the field. I’m sure if Meigs would have had to cancel this game, Bledsoe would be getting ripped to shreds if they decided to just take the win. But you’re probably not ready for that conversation. What happens if y’all have to cancel to Polk or Tellico? I bet that game would get rescheduled QUICK.

Covid is everywhere, not just Bledsoe County. As far as scheduling goes, everyone will just have to do the best they can this year. Some weeks that might mean playing with a short week of practice. This game could be played this week. Meigs was intent on playing it this week. Your assertion of "Meigs is taking the easy way" takes away from the truth that is "Bledsoe could play but isn't".

Our rival game with Central is also that week, so why would it be different? Sounds like we were doing them a favor and putting them in the same situation we would have been in and they said no. Let that sink in.

Also Bledsoe CAN play they are just choosing not too. There was a choice made by Bledsoe and this was it. Meigs is  and was available to play.

Just makes more sense during an off week to me but I have no dog in it, was just wondering.  Makes no difference to me.  Maybe yall will get another Crack at em in the playoffs.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
