Haywood vs Jackson Northside

I expect something similar to the Melrose game. A very athletic and speedy team vs. a Haywood team that has a strong program with big numbers, depth and oh yeah, speed, strength and talent. The win against Melrose is what I call a "program" win. The Golden Wildcats had some good talent, but not enough depth.  The Tomcats wore them down over time. Haywood has still yet to put together a complete game, but one of these weeks they will. This could be the week. Haywood 48, Northside 20.

Interesting that you predict that score. It’s the exact score from Covington vs. Northside earlier this season - Covington 48 Northside 20.

Last week, Massey came the closest to predicting the Haywood-Milan score.  Massey predicted a Tomcat victory of 34-21.  Obviously, he was way off base as we know the Cats won 40-7.

Let's see what the prognosticators predict for this week's game!

Massey - Haywood 42 - Melrose 7
S. Moore - Haywood by 40 (using last week's power ratings)
The Jackson Sun - Haywood 40 - Melrose 17

Massey says Haywood 38 NS 21

I think my neighbors in Haywood County walk away in sole possession of first place in the Region.

"Winner winner, chicken dinner!"  Surprisingly, the Jackson Sun predicted a 23 point Haywood victory over Melrose, and the Tomcats won by 23 (43-20).  Someone should take those Sun prognosticators to Gus's.

In week 5, Massey came the closest to predicting the Haywood-Milan score, but he was a little off base.  Definitely not so close as to deserve a chicken dinner.  Well, maybe a wing from Quick Mart.

No matter if it's Moore or Massey (preferably Moore), I hope one of the two will be on the money.  We'll have to wait until Wednesday to see what the Jackson Sun has to say.  I'll be glad when Cal Preps starts giving their projected score for games.  I think that will be after this week.

Actually, I'll just be happy with a win no matter what the point spread may be.  I'd like to see the Tomcats take sole  possession of 1st place in Region 7-4A.  I'd also like to see your Chargers beat D'burg and take sole possession of 1st in Region 7-3A.

Yeah, I'm buying what you are offering , Stacmot. I'd love to see our two teams meet undefeated later this season. We will see how it all turns out.
