It's obviously about match ups. WR wants to establish the run but over the last couple of weeks has been slinging the ball quite a bit more. Played D-B tough. Defense has been soft against the run, almost a bend but don't break defense. Wish I could be more in depth. Waiting for the Wolves to put 4 qtrs together. Honestly, this game could go either way IMHO.

WB has improved quite a bit even though it isn't showing in the win column yet. The defense was terrible at the beginning of the year and is not that bad now.

The only problem is our qb play. Our qb can sling it around and make some nice throws, and he'll throw just as many costly interceptions. The fact is we would be .500 right now with better qb play. We had plenty of opportunities to beat Jefferson County and Sevier County. Our qb play got us beat in those games. Period. I can't blame the Clinton loss on our qb play because nobody in our program could do anything right that night. And then we got dusted by Karns. That's on the whole team and coaching staff because that was just embarrassing.

Our teams are very similar.   Boone comes close in so many games, lots of moral victories, but we just can't seem to get the W's.     I think West Ridge is like that as well, they are having trouble putting together a complete game.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
