The score 48 - 13 reminds me of the 1990 OR vs Central game when Todd Helton went Tom Brady on Oak Ridge. Trust me, 2021 Powell is no 1990 Central.

What a Central team that was, but Lincoln County was just a little bit better. That loss was devastating for me as a young kid. A serious spanking. Thankfully, we got ‘em back X 2 the next year.

I was just as stupid an OR fan then as I am now. Right before halftime with Central already up big they took a shot down field. It was incomplete but upset me so I yelled, " try that (Bleep) again." I was hoping we would get a Pick 6 but instead Helton threw a bomb for a TD right before halftime.

Sweet Science, rest easy tonight because I didn't give up on the Cats that night in 1990. Never said a bad word about them just like I try not to do today. I hope that helps explain to people why I am the Wildcat fan I am. I didn't know Sweet was a player but because he wore the VictORy City Colors he was due the ultimate respect I could give. Some say that is wrong but I just say it is me.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
