I hope that Covington can recover from being taken to the woodshed and make a run in the playoffs. As I said before the season (in a thread about the Covington-Huntingdon scrimmage) our pass defense needs a lot of work. We will lose in the playoffs when we meet a team that can exploit that weakness.

I wish Haywood the best in the playoffs. I’ve seen some of the past 4A winners in those Cookeville championship games. Based on tonight, I think y’all can play with the best of them. Go bring home that elusive Gold Ball.

 

If you can not respect this, you need to check yourself. What a great post. This is how you lose with class. Everyone knows that Covington is not as good as Haywood. No denying it, blaming officials, blaming weather, etc. Haywood just lined up and bested them. I have a ton of respect for this poster. He has always been one of favorite on the T. 

Covington needs to regroup, and get ready for next week. Y'all have a great team. Just ran into a well oiled machine tonight. I would not hang my heads too low. Haywood has pretty much smoked everyone on their schedule. So, if anyone wants to talk trash just ask them if they were brave enough to put them on the schedule.

very much agreed but problem is most teams wont schedule haywood. hats off to covington tonight they came to play but like you said just ran into a better team tonight. covington will make a deep run in the playoffs im sure.

Thank you sir! It was not pretty, but we got the job done. Lausanne is a great team. We got a couple of very fortunate breaks in the contest. Either team had a chance to win. We stopped them on the last play of the game at 3 yard line.

Their coverage is not the best.  That's the nicest way I could say it.  I think you can go to the Covington Gridiron Association's Facebook page and watch a replay.  I posted a link in a previous post.
