You guys have definitely gotten better since the beginning of the season. If #7 was running like he was the first part of the season I would be pretty confident MC could pull it off. Our kids will play hard regardless though.

I hope he is healthy and I’m sure your kids will play tough!

Is he a senior?

Taye's not only fast but he's a lot stronger than most realize.

I knew the kid was special last year when you guys rolled into H2O and he kept pounding and broke some big runs. Hope some colleges take a chance on him, but most of those people are ignorant. They don't recruit football players they recruit measurables.

Exactly. We have a few who are being recruited by schools but I'm surprised someone hasn't contacted him. He's a great kid from a great family.

We lost an OL/DL before the season started that's being recruited by Alabama, Kentucky, Cincinnati, etc... Luckily he's a junior and will have a chance to play next year.

I'm thinking they are letting on like we are going to roll. I absolutely know better. They fought us to the last whistle last year and we had the better team. They return everyone from that team. If 7 plays he makes a huge difference. I don't trust them that he is hurt. Will have to wait until Friday to see, but I feel like they are letting on just to come up and send us to basketball season in ugly fashion lol.

I'm being honest when I say he is injured.  Without him being 100% it makes watertown the favorites, especially the way you guys are rolling right now.  I echo pp68 in saying with a healthy 7 I would give mc the nod.  Dude is an absolute warrior in what he has had to deal with this year and is still the best player on the field almost each time he steps out there.  I'm hoping for healing this week for sure and I know our guys will leave it on the field win or lose.  I don't like yalls offense matchup wise for us.  We are methodical,  yall are razor sharp.  I do say that we need to feed it to #2 more.  He has been carrying 3 or 4 defenders with him for 12 yards and then gets taken out.  Let him get a rhythm going.  He averaged 6ypc against the meigs steel curtain but only got 10 carries.  I'm tired of losing to h20, this can be 3 losses in 1 year to them, 2fb and 1 baseball.

On the other hand, the coaches have known about this new injury for a couple of weeks so it is their responsibility to get the kids in position to win, or have a chance to compete.  It's on them if they keep trying to drive the square peg thru a round hole.  We have enough playmakers to win.  The trouble for us has been defense the last few weeks, we have had trouble getting off the field on 3rd and 4th downs.  Kind of like ut last night,  I think Kentucky was 10-13 at one point on 3rd downs.  We have to pressure the qb even if that means we are in single coverage.  Our dbs can't be on an island for a long period of time.  If we drop back in coverage we will get picked apart.

Ain’t going happen the coaches give the ball equal amount of times to #8,#3,#2 and now #4 in the mix. Taye carries it more but since he’s not 100%  ain’t carry it that much. The others get 6 to 8 carries a game.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
