it swaps each year from district to district. There is also a certain requirement by TSSAA on capacity, TC was suppose to host region this year and would have been a much more centralized location but TC does not meet requirements. I would assume next year will be played possibly at Livingston or in that area.

Livingston needs to get their court fixed (it’s coming apart and slick as $&@!).  Their bleachers are horrible for fans too. They’re the old wooden rickety ones that move as you walk. A LOT of older people really struggle with them as far as going up and down. No hand rails anywhere. How they’ve not been sued is phenomenal.

On a side note: what an atmosphere tonight in Livingston!  Crowd was  rockin and the game was awesome. Refs were very good minus the timeout when the ball was loose and Strong’s tech (let the players celebrate). There was nothing personal about it. He’s an 18 year old kid celebrating a big play. The sec used to be horrible in football for this (they’ve gotten better). Basketball is an emotional sport. Let the kids play and let the refs keep it fair as long as it’s not taunting. My $.02.

I happened to be at this game. Good game. The loose ball timeout was granted due to team control still in possession (in other words, no change of possession occurred and player or coach can call timeout). I thought the refs did a good job.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
