Idk maybe if we ask Coalfield real nicely. They would let us play on the side our fans are on. I would hate to hurt there feelings or there fan’s feelings by moving them to the great far away side and give them that overwhelming advantage of playing over there. And after going to Cosby and seeing that it really works for them too. Maybe it’s good.

Not!!! If we make the Fourth maybe I just start that petition. But I’m sure no one would sign it. I mean who would want to be closer to there kid as they played there one and only Highschool seasons. No one would sign that

I wouldn't get a petition, I'd call the school and tell them what I thought. This could be the straw that broke the Yellow Jackets back.

Friday it would of got rowdy if the Cloudland kids would of been on the home side. The Oakdale people would of been after the Cloudland kids after the Oakdale kid got blocked into the goalpost. Don’t think it was on purpose just bad timing.

There was too much jawing on the fence back in the day.  All the armchair coaches telling Mike what he should run and one man went through the gate and threw a punch at mike

I like it on the other side. There is more room. It’s easier to talk to the coaches in the box. Don’t have to worry about people yelling and talking to the players and coaches.

I'm not so sure I would want a change this late in the season. While it does sound good to have your boys in front of the home side fans, this could easily create unwelcome distraction. The last thing you want to see happen is to have your boys get caught up in all the hype and lose focus in a very important game. Just my two cents. Hope we get a chance to play the winner of this game. Good luck to both teams.

Coaches sure don't need any distractions, that could be the biggest problem. Got a lot of Monday morning QB,s that  like to help coach. Most of um Know absolutely nothing ,but even if they do, you can't have 10 Chiefs.

Maybe you can start a petition.  Get it done!  It don't really matter to me.  I'm just glad to be this deep again.  Last opportunity was 2014 and poo bear pittman ruined any chance we had.  We've not had many really good teams since Mark byrd took his last snap.  To me its the ultimate revenge for zac to lead this team to where they are considering how he was neglected as a senior

I always wondered wny did everyone hate pittman up there and what the deal was

I think hate is too strong a word.  The man was just an inept coach.   He cost us in two games against hampton in 13 and 14.  In a short essay,  he just underachieved with some very talented teams.  The young man we have now will demand accountability.  Cloudland became really good overnight.

Forecast for friday night is crystal clear with a warm temp of 32 at kickoff.

    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
