It's the most violent Hampton team I've ever seen.  You all need to realize what you did to us and we're in the semis too.  You can and will get down and dirty against TC.  It won't be for the faint of heart. Maybe your wife and all the football moms and children should stay home. This movie will be rated R for extreme scenes of violence

This is just her kinda game Lol! I've coached the majority of these boys from kindergarten to 6th grade. Have always been all business. Always. No bull crap. There's a team picture circulating of them after a game back 8+ years. I'll find it and try to post. Same attitude then as they have today

The officiating last night was about as good as the crew at the RW game. That's pretty darn good! A couple mistakes and assessing the PI on the kickoff was one. Another was calling the runner down when I think we fumbled! One other was when they called you all for "weak fair catch signal" on a kickoff???? They let us play but a few head scratchers for sure. And yes Spike, you're correct :roflolk:

Yeah we though it was a clean strip honestly. Your RB was still moving forward and they blew him dead and he was still standin. The very very weak fair catch call was another but hindsight is 20-20 and once again we just got our tails kicked for 48 mins.

I didn’t see a violent game last night at all. I honestly can’t say I saw a big hitting game last night either. Hampton was physical in a move people around sense but they more pushed us out of the way than knocked us out of the way. Not a slight at all. They controlled the LOS completely, just wouldn’t consider the game I saw “violent” by any stretch.

That's because they like you, crow :roflol:

If the fumble call was botched, it would've meant more had it been earlier in the game too

54 Winters is now 52. 57 Kuhn is now 78. 14 Lyons is now 24. 34 Beam is now center 63. And 4 Jones, still #4. Same attitude then as now.

The blond headed kid standing in back on left (Hughes), left us and went on to become Elizabethton's all-state stud. He was/is an athlete.

Man I wonder if I can find a pic with the Cloudland kids in youth club that are at Hampton now plus the Russell kid thats at Elizabethton now. I remember those days.

I’m glad they do then lol

My thoughts on Oneida.  They have the personell to use the power running game.  Maybe its just me but I don't like running the ball out of the shotgun with a single back. The stud Meredith would have more success with a blocking back.  This is just an opinion.

I was a little puzzled we didn’t try more power earlier in the game. We have some this year. My guess is the coaches probably knew we couldn’t do it effectively. I mean Hampton played in a phone booth on offense and was successful doing it. Not sure if we had lined up in a way that allowed them to bring more players into the box we could’ve moved the ball much. I would’ve been interested to see how we could’ve done with a little tempo. Hampton is very good at what they do until they’re not. Talking to some of the Hampton folks last night not sure how they’ll fair IF someone can stop the run.

    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
