Spike they will learn and grow with each game. I see nothing but positive things in your team’s future.

I’m sure we’ll get around to seeing y’all again before to long. Seems to happen that way pretty regular with these 2. Overall record now stands at 8-5 in favor of Oneida and playoff record evened out more to 5-4 Oneida. I’m certain there’ll be another cold November Hampton / Oneida game soon.

If there was I never saw the white hat indicate anything like that. I’m like you 2 plays later is something I hadn’t seen before.

Kinda like the lineman down field on a 5 yard hitch. The play happened to fast for us to get a lineman downfield but none of that matters just head scratchers BUT BUT BUT we didn’t have nothing as bad as the “play of the year” right @uknoit2

I’m betting the ineligible call was a receiver that was covered by another receiver or some formation thing like that. Probably wasn’t a lineman if I was guessing.

I don’t think there was but did Hampton get a dead ball after the PAT? Not saying they did but no way an in play penalty should be assessed 2 plays later in the kickoff I don’t believe. That was just weird unless a dead ball happened after the PI and just got lost in all the activity around the PI, TD, PAT.

I was searching on the google. Found this question asked. The poster said you can either take the PI on the try which be half the distance or have the 15 yard penalty on the kickoff. I bet this is one of those rules that are different from College and the NFL.

Yeah it has to be something different. Like I said it didn’t effect the outcome at all just curious but that sounds right.

Definitely strange. I’ve never saw this happen before and saw several PI touchdowns.  Seems a bit much, we got to kick from the +45 because of it.

You would be the favorite next season.  Cland and Hampton lose key players and will have to grow moving forward

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Thanksgiving morning football practice sure makes that turkey taste a lot better that afternoon! Only 4 teams in the state are gonna be doing it in 2A, soak it in gentlemen, win or lose this season is nearly gone.

Done it in '15, was a blast to be playing the day after Thanksgiving! Last boy and the last game will be here SOON. I'm taking advantage of everything I can

I’ve never seen that happen before. The officiating crew done a great job and in no way did they effect the outcome of the game but they did have a call or 2 that was a a head scratcher but they are human so they are not perfect. It’s a tough job and one I couldn’t do.

The officiating last night was about as good as the crew at the RW game. That's pretty darn good! A couple mistakes and assessing the PI on the kickoff was one. Another was calling the runner down when I think we fumbled! One other was when they called you all for "weak fair catch signal" on a kickoff???? They let us play but a few head scratchers for sure. And yes Spike, you're correct :roflolk:

It's the most violent Hampton team I've ever seen.  You all need to realize what you did to us and we're in the semis too.  You can and will get down and dirty against TC.  It won't be for the faint of heart. Maybe your wife and all the football moms and children should stay home. This movie will be rated R for extreme scenes of violence

I didn’t see a violent game last night at all. I honestly can’t say I saw a big hitting game last night either. Hampton was physical in a move people around sense but they more pushed us out of the way than knocked us out of the way. Not a slight at all. They controlled the LOS completely, just wouldn’t consider the game I saw “violent” by any stretch.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
