I was a little puzzled we didn’t try more power earlier in the game. We have some this year. My guess is the coaches probably knew we couldn’t do it effectively. I mean Hampton played in a phone booth on offense and was successful doing it. Not sure if we had lined up in a way that allowed them to bring more players into the box we could’ve moved the ball much. I would’ve been interested to see how we could’ve done with a little tempo. Hampton is very good at what they do until they’re not. Talking to some of the Hampton folks last night not sure how they’ll fair IF someone can stop the run.

We've been able to do it to everyone in the playoffs.  Last night, Birchfield and sluder just refused to go down.  Birchfield ran through 5 coalfield players and scored up the middle.  I was surprised that the wildcat was successful

Yeah, we didn’t play bad. Lost any fire we had after the botched punt. Other than the first drive we didn’t really stop them. They just out-big-boy footballed us tonight. Better team won straight up. Nice talking with @uknoit2 and @pujo  y’all both married way above your station, don’t forget it either  good luck, y’all get to practice on thanksgiving day, that’s a rare privilege, enjoy the ride fellas. Good game Hampton, congratulations.

A huge thanks to my ole buddy Crow and even that little devil spike, lol. Chatted with a slew of Oneida fans and these people are nothing but 1st class, my kinda people, always said if my kids were gonna play somewhere else, I'd want it to be Oneida. Another thing I absolutely love was how they played with PCand C knowing it was over. Shows a sign of leadership, this baby junk and pitching fits like a toddler is not up my alley. Far as the game goes we were able to do what we wanted to and didn't have to get off coarse.  Just a game I was proud to witness. I'm sure we'll meet again soon and it may be reversed. What the heck.

A BIG shout out to these Hampton Bulldogs, loved working with these kids all summer, they deserved.

Ain’t no shame losing to a better team. Last night y’all were the better team for sure. Good luck next week.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
