Oh golly gee Wally, that's a real snappy come back and all, but those Summit fellas were not the only team to beat Blackman, and who knows maybe the Ol Blaze be better next year. And a little bit of information you might find useful, I have said in previous threads to the Maryville game that I would like to see Oakland and Summit match up in the finals. That said Summit as good as they are, have not played a team that will get after them like Oakland is about to. They also haven't played a team with the depth that Oakland has. This will be a good test for Kentucky to see what they are getting because it will put the weight of the team and this game on the dynamic duo.

That defense better be able to stop a nosebleed if they want to be better next year.

True, and what will you do when you don't have an offense or defense either one.....???LMAO .. You might wanna focus on the game you have to play not the ones you already won.  After all every chump has a game plan until they get punched in the nose...

For the love of Pete, someone from Maryville complaining about officiating AT home. If not for your homers calling the game Oakland could have been in a couple more final games. You got a butt kicking so man up and take it !

Seriously, are you 12? I like playing Oakland. I love the challenge and the rivalry, which is dead even. Which team did you play for that got beaten by a Maryville team in the past? You're not an Oakland fan. As for butt kicking, I was there. Physicality wise, it was pretty even. I hate how they sucker us up with that Wing-T and then throw one or two deep. It reminds me of wishbone teams throwing it twice a game, usually for TD's. I don't know why I'm having a conversation with you though. You're 12.

We’ve been at the tournament in Chattanooga for all games.  Tons of folks talking up both Oakland and Summitt.  Didn’t hear anyone mention Blackman.

Since when have you ever heard a football postseason referred to as a "tournament"? Don't think B45 needs you to point out the obvious unless it was your intention to come across as juvenile

Hahaha.  That’s what you chose to call out.  Sorry.  Far from juvenile just old folks using old folk language.  Whatever you call it.  We will check our Gold Ball and quote it exactly

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
